Job Description

Job Summary: This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for patients, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and professional standards. The nurse is accountable for the quality of care provided by themselves and their team, utilizing specialized knowledge and skills to meet the needs of patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be needed.

Physical Demands: Requires physical agility, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and effective communication skills.

Essential Functions:

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement care plans and supervise nursing staff.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely.
• Participate in education and mentoring of staff and patients.
• Engage in activities to improve nursing quality indicators.

Location: Medical-Surgical Unit
Schedule: Regular Part Time, 20 hours, Varied Shifts
