The Residency RN, practicing under the close guidance, learns hospital policies, procedures, and standards that guide practice. Limited experience in the situations in which they need to perform. The Residency RN is transitioning from an educational program into professional practice. At this level, the nurse learns to perform, which are context free and independent of specific cases for non-complex patients. The Residency RN focuses on acquiring experiences that allow them to grow their critical thinking development.
Requirements:
A. Education/Skills:
• Graduate of Registered Nurse Program
B. Experience:
• Entry-level position
• Zero (0) months to 12 months clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting
C. Licenses, Registrations or Certifications:
• Current Louisiana RN License
• Current BLS
• Current ACLS requirements based on assigned Nursing Unit
