> REF:#72773cdcb08f2ddf *Position Overview*:
Join St. Charles Health System as an *Advanced Practice Provider (APP)* in Urgent Care, providing compassionate, efficient care for minor emergencies and acute illnesses at our *St. Charles Urgent Care Centers*. Working in collaboration with our team of Physicians, APPs in this role support patients at multiple Central Oregon locations, including *Bend*, *La Pine*, and *Prineville*. Responsibilities include patient assessment, stabilization of urgent conditions, and minor procedures such as laceration repair, abscess drainage, fracture management, and diagnostic imaging review. Lab and X-ray services are fully integrated, allowing APPs to provide rapid care to all patients presenting with an Emergency Severity Index (ESI) of 3, 4, or 5.

*Work Schedule*:
* *Shift-based model* with *153 twelve-hour shifts per calendar year* for a 1.0 FTE.
* Shifts are scheduled at multiple Urgent Care locations, allowing for rotation among sites and flexibility in work location.

*Call Expectation*:
* No on-call requirements; however, APPs are expected to cover 95% of scheduled shifts, ensuring that clinics maintain full staffing and patient coverage.

* St. Charles Urgent Care at SE Coombs Place, Bend, OR
* St. Charles Urgent Care at Huntington Road, La Pine, OR
* St. Charles Urgent Care at SE Combs Road, Prineville, OR

*Essential Functions and Duties*:

Clinical Responsibilities:
* *Patient Care*: Provide rapid and efficient care for minor injuries and illnesses, utilizing evidence-based Urgent Care practices.
* *Diagnosis and Treatment*: Perform and document examinations, interpret x-rays and lab results, calculate medication dosages, and manage minor medical conditions.
* *Stabilization and Referral*: Stabilize patients requiring a higher level of care and coordinate appropriate transfers.
* *Procedures*: Perform laceration repair, abscess drainage, fracture management, and other minor urgent care procedures.
* *Patient Education*: Counsel patients on health maintenance, preventative care, and treatment goals.
* *Interdisciplinary Collaboration*: Work closely with the urgent care team, primary care, and emergency care providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Administrative Responsibilities:
* *Documentation and Billing*: Accurately document all care provided in the *Electronic Medical Record (EMR)* to ensure timely and accurate billing.
* *Compliance and Training*: Maintain compliance with St. Charles Health System’s policies and regulatory standards and complete assigned *Computer Based Learning (CBL)* modules.
* *Continuous Improvement*: Participate in *Value Improvement Practice (VIP- Lean)* and other initiatives to promote continuous improvement across SCHS facilities.

*Education, Licensure, and Certification*:
* *Required*: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Possess current and unrestricted PA or NP licensure with applicable NCCPA, AANC, NCC, or AANP certification.
* *Certifications*: Maintain current *BLS, ACLS,* and *PALS* certifications.
* *Preferred*: Oregon licensure and registration of a Federal DEA number in Oregon.

*Experience*:
* *Required*: Experience with EMR, strong written and verbal communication, and teamwork abilities.
* *Preferred*: Two or more years in Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Primary Care, with experience managing acute care patients. Familiarity with *Epic EMR* is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $134,566.00 – $154,751.00 per year
